23.9.-25.9. Thula Thula Private Game Reserve
One main part, and kind of a reason of our journey, was Maud’s 50th birthday. As a real Africa lover, she wanted to celebrate her half decade somewhere under the African sun. She had found a private exclusive game reserve ThulaThula which is famous for their elephants, and the man behind the reserve, Lawrence Anthony, who unfortunately passed away a few years ago. We were treated like royals from the main entrance until we 2 days later left. ThulaThula is all-inclusive type of accommodation, and was really nice experience. Field guides were all very talented (also by the in show manners , but definitely also for their bush knowledge!) and great company during the game drives. The meals served were absolutely amazing starting from breakfast continued with lunch, to the dinner by the camp fire. All customers were like friends with each others and shared the table, chatting happily about what one had seen on the game drives.
