A neat workshop by sports photographer Vesa Koivunen (and Heidi Koivunen) In the morning we met with the group at their Studio and went through what to consider before action/sports photo shoot. A bit of gear to carry, and other preparations, technical things, remote cameras etc. And must say that Vesa has a very relaxed and clear way to present -very enjoyable and fun to follow.
We had a real pro rider Henri Ojala who is not only a talented athlete, but also a really nice guy. He had enormous amount of patient while riding same spots again and again to ensure that every one got their shots. My first time ever seeing mountain biking and still impressed the way Henri rode on that tiny rocky area so dang easily.
We were also able to try different photo styles: here is my best bet of slow shutter speed (1/20) with a speedlite flash.
Vesa and (especially Heidi 😉 ! ) really put their hand in the dirt when guiding us and making some photos :
